      <xhtml:div xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Hi, I read in a brochure from the new GenderDysphoria Clinic in
Melbourne that a real life experience of 18 months minimum is
required before consideration for surgery. It also states that HRT
is commenced 3 months into the RLE. Do they expect transsexual
clients to present as their opposite gender in society for 3 months
without any hormone medication? I think this is the case in the UK
NHS system, but I did not realise that it happens here as well!
Does this really happen here? What are your experiences please? </xhtml:div>

developing due to HRT at about 9 months into the treatment. Also is
it known whether development takes extended breaks where absolutely
nothing changes and then starts back up (I'm talking about 6 month
breaks at least). Thanks Edit: asking about MtF mostly, but info
about FtM might be helpful to someone else :) </xhtml:div>

the ladies bathroom we went into the mens. Whilst waiting for a
stall to become free a bussie came in to collect glasses and became
very angry with my friend telling her she had to leave. The other
men and I stood up for her and said to let her be. At which point
he read me as female too and got very angry saying 'you have to
leave, it's illegal for you to be here.' My question is, is it
really illegal for women and people perceived as women to use the
mens bathrooms?  </xhtml:div>

And whether certain food or drink makes you feel ill? For example,
just as of late (about five months on HRT) I've been unable to
consume milk products? At least, not in the quantities I could
prior to now. I'm wondering if stuff like this happens a lot, or if
it is unrelated to the hormones. Perhaps it's just me becoming
myself, and as myself I can't process certain foods as well. Also,
oddly, I've been craving porridge and lemons. </xhtml:div>
