It's a derogatory term used for Transvestite and Transgender, not really suited towards those dealing with their Transsexualism. It has been tarnished.

ruby 		I believe it's better in our hands than that of enemies. That said, I only use it in purely satirical senses, kind of like saying "I'm a transgender."

DigitalCarlie 		Yes, I do although I feel that once I have undergone SRS I am no longer trans but a normal women, I am sure others would disagree.

My Thinking is that a disease like cancer for instance we say that person has cancer, but if a person was to beat cancer we wouldn't still say they have cancer. I fell the same about transgender and transsexual labels. once you have complete transition you are no longer.

(Not shemale though. That's like saying "she's a she, but still really a dude" IMO.)

Allyx 		Sadly, I think both have an ingrained sexual connotation and make people think that transfolk, especially MtF's are all sexual beasts who make a living doing porn.
